Olaplex:

Add on time: 10 minutes
Stand alone treatment time: 45 minutes

What Is Olaplex?
Olaplex is a bond multiplier containing a single active ingredient, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. Olaplex works by finding single sulfur hydrogen bonds and cross linking them back together to form disulfide bonds before, during and after services. Disulfide bonds are broken via chemical, thermal, and mechanical processes.
Olaplex is the only product of its kind with 8 worldwide patents publishing soon. Olaplex is free of silicone, sulfates, phthalates, DEA, aldehydes, and is never tested on animals.

Is Olaplex a Conditioner?
It is important to remember that Olaplex is NOT a conditioner. Conditioners are cosmetic whereas Olaplex works internally to cross link single sulfur hydrogen bonds to create disulfide bonds. Moisture and protein are entirely separate issues that should be addressed separately.

How can I get it?
Olaplex can be used as an add on to your color, high light, ombre, balayage, or perm service OR can be used as a stand alone treatment.
Ask your stylist to examine your hair to see if you are a candidate for this service. In some cases, if hair is too damaged, a stand alone treatment may be necessary before any high lighting or coloring is done.

Maintenance:
A stand alone treatment is suggested for clients whose hair is compromised by chemical or heat damage. This can be done once a month or as often as once a week.

No.3 Hair Perfector
This is the take home portion of the system that you can purchase from your stylist.

The No.3 Bond Perfector is designed for at-home use. It is best to apply to clean, towel-dried hair. If build-up is present such as oils or silicones, shampoo and towel dry before application for best results.
Apply a generous amount to towel-dried hair and comb through.
Leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes. Keep in mind, the longer it's on, the more effective it is. Rinse, shampoo and condition. This is NOT a conditioning treatment OR a leave-in treatment. It is meant to be shampooed out of the hair. No.3 must process a minimum of 10 minutes. If hair is compromised, 20+ mins is recommended. Once a week is suggested for healthy hair. For those with compromised hair, we recommend 2-3 times a week in combination with your favorite moisture and protein treatments where applicable.
